NextGen Kids
Gospel | Joy | Discipleship
NextGen Kids joyfully teaches kids the gospel and builds them up in their knowledge and understanding of Jesus through evangelism and discipleship as they are taught the storyline of Scripture.
This ministry meets on Tuesday evenings, from 6:50-8:30 pm, September to November and January to March or early April.
The 2026 Fall session is from September 8th to November 17th.
NextGen Kids is part of OBC's Discipleship Night, which also has Youth Group.
Goals
- encourage discipleship
- provide opportunities for sharing the gospel
- build community among the children, the youth, and the adults participating in Discipleship Night
- build positive, Christ-centered memories
- gain foundational knowledge
- reinforce to children what a church really is
- foster joy in kids’ lives
Ages
NextGen Kids is for children from nursery through 5th grade.
Curriculum
We use The Gospel Project as our core curriculum to teach the storyline of Scripture. We also teach about missions, prayer, and walking together in the joy of the Lord.
