Community Groups

The Community Groups Ministry aims to glorify God in life together by bringing our church family into community through weekly group gatherings to enjoy fellowship and to care for one another.

Who can participate in a Community Group?
Our groups are for OBC members and their family members, and we gladly welcome those who are pursuing membership at OBC. You can learn about our Discover OBC class and church membership here.

Where and when do Community Groups meet?
We meet weekly in host homes across Prince William County to enjoy fellowship as we apply Scripture to our lives, pray together, and care for one another. Our groups currently meet on Sunday, Monday, or Wednesday.

What do groups discuss?
Our group discussions follow along with the sermon series as we discuss the Scripture that was preached on Sunday.

What do group meetings look like?
Meetings usually begin with an informal time of fellowship and refreshments, followed by time spent discussing the Scripture that was preached the previous Sunday, and a time of prayer for one another.

What if I don't have a group match?
We recognize that schedules can be challenging. In the event that we do not have a group match we will let you know when things change. In the meantime, we will reach out to share about additional ways you might connect into fellowship with our church family.

If you have any questions, please talk with Pastor Ben Purves.
