Foundations
Basics of Personal Change
The world is full of trouble because we have marred God’s design. On a personal level, we experience the effects of brokenness in ourselves and in those around us. In this course you will learn what Scripture says about why people do what they do and how Scripture is totally sufficient to change the believer to become progressively more like Jesus. This course covers 11 topics through the use of video lessons with outlines and notes, assigned reading, a case study and most importantly weekly discussion. Students can expect approximately 2 hours of homework each week, typically in the form of one video lesson, one chapter of reading and the occasional article. There is also one Saturday morning workshop that will do a deep dive into biblical conflict resolution.

Foundations
Basics of Biblical Counseling
Excited about what you learned in Basics of Personal Change? In this course, students study common but specific counseling issues such as anger, depression, and suffering along with marriage and parental problems by learning exactly how Scripture addresses them. Practically, students will learn how to instruct, encourage and offer hope to hurting people using the Bible. In addition, firm footing is gained by an in depth study of the theological underpinnings of biblical counseling. Two Saturday morning workshops are included that spotlight a mock counseling session by watching an observation video, and a case study practicum with seasoned counselors.

Building Blocks
Book Study
This group will read and discuss 3-4 books per year. Each book will be selected with the intent of exploring various counseling related topics more thoroughly. Attend one or attend them all!
Building Blocks
Roundtable Supervision
A quarterly Saturday morning workshop centered around watching one counseling observation video followed by discussion. Time will also be set aside to ask seasoned Christians and counselors about how to offer hope in real-life situations where members of the group are actively ministering.
