Occoquan Bible Church Women’s Ministries

“Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,

But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised”

(Prov. 31:30-31)


In keeping with the directives of OBC, the women’s ministry council strives to provide avenues for

  • spiritual growth,

  • service,

  • personal discipleship,

  • corporate prayer,

  • and encouragement for the women in the church, whatever their season of life might be.


Women of all ages are welcome to join any of the prayer groups, Bible studies and fellowship gatherings, and special events that meet at various locations and times throughout the week.

As Christians, we desire relationships that encourage us to make a deeper commitment in our walk with Jesus Christ. This vital ministry allows women to experience the benefits of mutual service alongside other women in the body.

Announcing our summer Bible study on prayer
How’s your prayer life? Do you cling to the belief that God is able to do far more than you could ever ask or imagine? Does dialogue flow freely throughout the day between you and your Abba Father? Are you laying the burdens of your heart at His feet daily?   Or is there just never enough time to pray?  Do you feel unworthy?  Do your problems seem too big for God?  Please join OBC's summer Bible study - The Disciple's Prayer Life and find encouragement in this in-depth study on prayer. 
Choose morning or evening -
The morning study will meet Mondays at 10:00 AM at Reina's home.  Childcare will be offered.
The evening study will meet Mondays at 6:45 PM at OBC.  No childcare will be offered.

TEA TIME! 
Our June Fellowship will be an afternoon tea on Saturday, June 5th at 2:00 PM.
Anne-Marie Mingo will tell us all about the books chosen for the summer book club. 
All you need to bring is your own tea cup.
